Adverb
Adverbs are descriptive words used to modify verbs, typically to add information about the manner of the action or state described by the verb. For example:
Įwhąą̀ gode.
He speaks fast.
K’achı̨ anele.
Do it again.
Axǫdıı̀ nàyanı̨ı̨ht’ı nı̀?
Did he punch him on purpose?
Dıı hanı̀ ahłà.
I did it this way.
‘Adverb’ is a very broad category, and is sometimes used in the dictionary as a catch-all label for words whose part-of-speech is unknown or unclear.
